Role: Data Analyst (Health care Domain)
Location: Canton, MA – 100% Remote

Position Overview

Hiring for experienced Data Analyst to support complex data, analytics, and information-management initiatives within the healthcare payer domain.

The selected candidate will partner with business and technical teams to develop scalable analytical solutions, improve data quality, create technical documentation, support testing activities, troubleshoot production issues, and provide actionable business insights using SQL, ETL, and data-management technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data and reporting requirements.
  • Perform functional analysis, gap analysis, and business-requirements definition.
  • Analyze complex healthcare payer data and provide meaningful business insights.
  • Develop and optimize advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries.
  • Support ETL processes, data integrations, and data-engineering initiatives.
  • Create technical specifications, data mappings, process documentation, and solution-design documents.
  • Develop test cases, test plans, and validation strategies.
  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, and defect analysis.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot production data and reporting issues.
  • Identify data-quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, business analysts, and project stakeholders.
  • Support analytical reporting using SAS, Excel, and related tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of data-analysis experience within a healthcare payer environment.
  • Strong healthcare insurance or payer-domain experience.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle.
  • 5+ years of hands-on ETL and data-engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of Teradata experience.
  • 7+ years of experience with:
    • Functional analysis

    • Business-requirements definition
  • Experience creating:
    • Technical specifications
    • Test cases
    • Test plans
    • Data and process documentation
  • Strong data-quality, QA, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAS experience.
