Job description

The 'Financial Analyst - EMEA Cost Accounting' position is a key member of the Enterprise Finance Global Cost Accounting Team - which holds global responsibility for costing-related functions across our Regions and ERP platforms. This specific role is primarily responsible for supporting 'costing' functions at recent acquisitions and integrations in the EMEA region. This role will be focused on standing-up standard costing, performing detailed accounting functions in the local ERP, and will drive standardization of processes at these sites. This position will require daily interaction with Merchandise Control, Local and Regional Finance Teams, and Local Plant Accounting personnel.

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Global Headquarters in Cleveland, OH.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a focus in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status 
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred:

  • Experience with Standard Cost development and accounting
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Exposure to PCG business units
  • Experience with SAP system
  • Experience with Tools including Oracle, OneStream, SAP, QAD, Product Vision, and AOM
  • Experience with developing monthly reporting on manufacturing variances

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

This role will support the daily/weekly/monthly cost accounting tasks and will support standardization and enhanced accounting practices at assigned sites with responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Enhance and align standard costing policies and accounting procedures. Document process flows and SOPs.

  • Responsible for new product costing and setups.

  • Responsible for Annual Standards Cost Development for material and overheads, and re-rolls as required.

  • Perform various month-end entries for accounting concepts such as those relating to PPV, absorption, and manufacturing variances. Ensure the accuracy of financial results. Provide explanations for variances as required.

  • Implement standardized 'passthrough' logic and variance accounting at sites as appropriate.

  • Partner with various local business groups to provide financial information and support on local requests, statutory requirements, or other business needs.

  • Communicate and implement standard cost accounting logic and processes where appropriate.

  • Other strategic tasks and projects, as assigned.
