JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Harrisburg invites applications for Adjunct Lecturer in American Studies to begin August 2026. This is a part-time, adjunct appointment.

Job Duties
  • Teach 1-3 courses (3 credits each; with maximum of 9 credits) each semester in American Studies, or other classes depending on expertise.
  • Teaching assignments may require teaching day or evening classes, as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must have completed MA in a related field required and experience teaching at the post-secondary level is preferred.
  • Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is desired.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
