This position offers the unique flexibility of a remote work setting in Houston, Texas. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing mental health services in a school context, with your primary responsibilities focused on virtual engagement with students, parents, and school staff. The typical work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend engagements as necessary to meet client needs.

• Serve as a primary clinician, offering assessments and therapeutic interventions for students exhibiting symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders.
• Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and school administrators to create a supportive environment for students needing mental health services.
• Implement evidence-based practices to enhance the mental well-being of clients, focusing on empowerment and choice in treatment approaches.
• Participate actively in team meetings and communication channels to maintain alignment with overarching team goals and enhance service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with professional ethical standards and adhere to organizational policies, ensuring a high quality of care.

Your clientele will primarily consist of school-aged children facing diverse mental health challenges, which can range from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues. You will need to adapt your approaches to suit the varying needs of students while ensuring their confidentiality and creating a safe space for them to express their emotions.

• A current and valid LCSW license is required.
• Expert knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies tailored for children and adolescents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients, parents, and educators.
• Proficiency in managing risk assessments and crisis interventions, demonstrating a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations.
