About This Role:
 Privateer is seeking an experienced Edifecs Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
This role is integral to the accurate and efficient processing of high‑volume EDI X12 transactions, with a primary focus on 837 and 835 workflows. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of transaction processes, ensuring compliance, reliability, and seamless integration across internal systems and external trading partners. This position offers the opportunity to work within a mature, mission‑driven organization where technical excellence and operational precision are paramount. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., including the District of Columbia.

You Have:
 
  • 3-5 years of experience with Edifecs Developer
  • Strong experience with EDI X12 healthcare transactions (837, 835, 277CA, 278, 270/271, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with EDIFECS, including:
    • Spec Builder
    • Transaction Manager (TM)
    • XEServer
    • XESManager
  • Experience building profiles, routes, and trading partner relationships
  • Experience connecting to endpoints such as HTTP/S, SFTP, file systems, databases, and queues
  • Strong troubleshooting experience
  • Solid communication skills
