The Medina Behavioral Health Center is seeking skilled and compassionate licensed Mental Health Counselors to join our dedicated team in a full-time, remote capacity. As a remote position, you will work from the comfort of your own space while connecting with clients through secure telehealth platforms. Our flexible scheduling from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, accommodates both clinician and patient needs, allowing for a responsive treatment approach. The collaborative atmosphere is reinforced through virtual team meetings, where staff share insights, strategies, and support.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans, ensuring each plan is tailored to the unique circumstances of every patient.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to deliver effective counseling sessions to individuals, families, and groups.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that not only address collective mental health concerns but also foster a strong community among participants.
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure cohesive care across all areas of treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients facing mental health emergencies, demonstrating responsiveness and crisis management skills.
• Educate clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to take active roles in their recovery.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficiency and accuracy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, training, and team consultations to stay current with the latest advancements in mental health care.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.
• Experience in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and implementing effective treatment plans.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong ethical judgment and dedication to maintaining professional boundaries.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant digital tools.
• A collaborative attitude and readiness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Previous experience providing therapy in a community health setting.
• Proven track record of delivering individual and group therapy sessions effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate support groups and psychoeducational workshops.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention protocols and emergency response strategies.
