Work Environment

As a remote role, the Licensed Professional Counselor position offers flexibility and the ability to work from your own environment while staying connected with a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing therapeutic techniques that align with client needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect each client’s goals and concerns, regularly modifying plans based on therapeutic outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to offer compassionate support, helping clients navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
• Excel in documentation by maintaining detailed clinical records that meet ethical standards and reflect progress in treatment interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate care and enhance the therapeutic experience.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to remain current with developments in counseling practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population is diverse, encompassing a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and mental health challenges. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Medina Behavioral Health Center, you will work closely with clients facing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your role is crucial in creating individualized therapeutic pathways that respect each client's experiences and promote healing.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in counseling or a related field is required.
• A current and valid state license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct counseling services to clients, ideally within outpatient settings.
• Strong communication skills with a commendable ability to actively listen and empathize with clients’ situations.
• Proven ability to establish rapport and trust with clients through a client-centered approach.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to think critically under pressure.
• Adherence to ethical standards and professional conduct in all interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in various therapy modalities (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.) would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy best practices.
• Understanding of community resources and referral networks to support client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Medina Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 90,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to the salary, we provide:
