• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to effectively address mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and essential self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to facilitate integrated care for clients.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and emerging trends related to mood disorders to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Advocate for clients to reduce mental health stigma and address their unique needs.

In this role, you will primarily focus on clients coping with various mood disorders including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, particularly those who may also be dealing with associated life challenges, such as homelessness, refugee status, or experiences of domestic violence. Your therapeutic interventions will play a crucial role in fostering resilience and aiding in the recovery journey for these individuals.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage client workload and administrative responsibilities.

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those facing socio-economic challenges and mental health stigma.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote work dynamics to enhance client engagement and therapy delivery.
• Previous experience implementing treatment strategies for clients with mood disorders is a plus.
