One common challenge in Remote E Learning roles is maintaining high levels of engagement and interaction with students who may be geographically dispersed and have varying levels of digital literacy. Adapting course materials and delivery methods to suit a wide range of learning styles can also be demanding, as is troubleshooting technical issues in real time. Collaborating with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and technical support teams usually happens virtually, requiring proactive communication and strong organization skills. Job description

At Noble, we believe the health of soil, plants, animals, and humans is one and indivisible. We believe in rebuilding healthy soils and helping producers maintain a strong bottom line. Through these two actions, we can transform degraded grazing lands across the United States, benefiting the environment and society as a whole.

Our focus is to help farmers and ranchers apply regenerative ranching principles to the nation’s 654 million acres of grazing lands. This monumental undertaking requires thousands of producers across the U.S. to overcome significant barriers and change their current practices to work with nature, not against it.

Our education program is at the heart of our mission. It is the glue that connects our internal research discoveries and outreach activities. We live to find new ways to generate usable information so farmers and ranchers can leave their land better at sunset than at sunrise. Our education program is the inflection point for transformation. Education has always been a part of who we are, but we know new opportunities exist for us to expand our reach.

So, do you want to join us? We are looking for an Instructional Designer

As an instructional designer, you will apply principles of adult learning to design and develop educational products, alongside subject matter experts, that address real-world challenges facing farmers and ranchers. This work is key in helping Noble achieve its goals and share the story of regenerative land stewardship with farmers, ranchers, potential donors, and society at large. The work you do can play a part in making a difference in a producer’s operation, their life and the society that depends on them.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing educational products
    • Applying principles of adult learning and instructional design processes (such as ADDIE) to create educational products. This includes face-to-face classroom, virtual classroom, e-learning blended designs, non-linear designs, self-development designs, multiple curricula, action learning and media-based learning.
    • Participating in needs analysis and interacting with subject matter experts to inform the design and development of educational products.
    • Partnering with internal customers and SMEs to analyze and document educational outcomes and learning objectives that support learners in their journey.
    • Generating the participant and facilitator guides, e-learning content, and blended learning solutions through story boarding and authoring tools. Designing content and associated metrics that optimize learning.
  • Collaborating cross functionally
    • Partnering with other team members to develop training deliverables, including written training materials, e-learning, scripts, etc.)
    • Collaborating with graphic design and video personnel to create high-quality media that supports the learner's success.
    • Participating on project teams on a variety of initiatives, including new technology, products and special events.
  • Conducting quality review
    • Testing learning designs and iterating content to ensure it aligns with the learner's needs.
    • Reviewing and testing new and revised curriculum offerings, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement and contributing to new curriculum or program ideas.
    • Assisting with quality control, proofreading and distribution of courseware.

We will:

  • Teach you. We will support you with professional development opportunities that will hone your skills and grow you professionally.
  • Support you. We’re committed to building solutions for each other in addition to our stakeholders. Our team members make time to help, provide solutions, and remove roadblocks with regular collaboration across groups, regardless of where our office is. We are empowered and equipped with the tools that allow us to connect, to be intentional and to grow together.
  • Include you. We come from different parts of the globe and from different walks of life, but we share the vision of our founder, Lloyd Noble, to improve the land for the benefit of all society. Our culture is inclusive, supportive, and diverse. We want to be a part of your story and you to help write part of ours. Your perspective and experience is invaluable. Come grow with us!
  • Provide you. We offer competitive salary and benefits, including multiple options for health and retirement plans, employee wellness program, employee recognition program, and onsite wellness center. In addition, we have a collaborative working environment and organizational support for community involvement and volunteering.
