Northrop Grumman's Global Surveillance Division (GSD) is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join our growing team of qualified and diverse individuals in Oklahoma City, OK. You will oversee a team of professionals who are actively developing Custom Testing Solutions, Specialized Support Equipment, and Integration activities for the LGM-35A Sentinel Missile, B-52 Stratofortress, and E-3 Sentry Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) platforms.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Systems Engineering - Integration team within the Engineering homeroom - to include system integration, test plan and procedure development, test execution and reporting, as well as obsolescence analysis and solution development activities.
  • Perform technical planning, support design reviews, develop tools to communicate and track action items internally and with our customer.
  • Collaborate with program IPT counterparts supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
  • Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature content both internally and externally.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Staff Systems Engineer: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 12 years of related experience as defined below, a Master of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM field and 10 years of related experience, or a PhD in Engineering or related STEM field and 8 years of related experience.
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • 8+ years experience in Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience executing Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) on large scale complex systems
  • 5+ years experience analyzing large complex systems
  • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in: Engineering, Engineering Management, and/or Program Management related functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DoD and B-52 aircraft system
  • Experience with antenna/communications systems
  • Experience with Environmental Control Systems (ECS)
  • Experience with Vehicle Engineering
  • Supplier Management Experience
  • Experience as a IPT Lead, Responsible Engineer, or other demonstrated leadership role related to program execution.
  • Prior experience leading a large, collaborative, multi-disciplinary, cross-site team
  • Experience with hardware integration
  • Experience serving as a proposal estimator
  • Experience in technical writing such as tech volumes & white papers

Primary Level Salary Range: $144,900.00 - $217,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
