Role: The Configurator/Integration developer (Insurance Policy) reports to the Director, Product Development and works closely with a diverse team consisting of a Project Manager, Business Analysts, a Team Leader, Developers and QAs. The incumbent has excellent analytical skills, as well as a good knowledge of the insurance industry, programming concepts and databases.

Below, is a brief description of the expected product the candidate will be working on

The product is a cloud-native Policy Administration System (PAS) built for insurance carriers. The platform supports the full policy lifecycle, from underwriting and issuance to billing, claims, and commissions, across life, whole life, and annuity products for carriers around the world.
The product is in active growth, with new insurance lines and AI-powered capabilities on the near-term roadmap. Joining the team means building something that matters, in one of the most complex and transformation-driven industries in financial services.

Your Day with Equisoft:

  • Perform configuration development and release management for the Equisoft manage-carbon platform (our Insurance Policy Administration system solution)

  • Maintain and grow insurance industry and technical knowledge competencies

  • Collaborate with configuration team, technical team and business analysts to ensure that manage-carbon system is configured to achieve the system behavior defined by the business requirements

  • Participate in self-directed learning - specifically in configuration syntax and Insurance Business Knowledge

  • Analyze and resolve basic problems to maintain data integrity, process integrity, and system performance

  • Work in a client service context, involving client interactions at various levels

Requirements:

Technical

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry or related fields

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role

  • Experience with any insurance policy administration system

  • Programming experience; specifically, in procedural programming

  • Strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts (query building and optimization)

  • Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information

  • Excellent knowledge of French & English (spoken and written)
