Remote E Filing information

What is a remote e filing?

Remote e-filing jobs involve submitting documents electronically, often for legal, tax, or governmental purposes, from a remote location. Professionals in these roles may work as clerks, paralegals, or administrative assistants, ensuring that forms and paperwork are accurately uploaded and processed through online systems. These jobs require attention to detail, familiarity with digital platforms, and strong organizational skills. Working remotely allows employees to perform these tasks from home or any location with internet access.

What skills and qualifications are needed for a remote e filing?

Proficiency with electronic filing systems, legal document submission portals, and common office software is essential, and certifications in legal administration or records management can be advantageous. Excellent time management, communication, and adaptability to changing deadlines are standout soft skills in this role. These skills ensure that filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with legal or regulatory requirements, which is crucial for organizational efficiency and risk mitigation.

What challenges do remote e filing professionals face and how can they be addressed?

Effective time management and strong attention to detail are essential to avoid errors and meet strict submission deadlines. Staying up-to-date with the latest regulations and maintaining clear communication with team members and clients can also help address these challenges and ensure smooth workflow in a remote setting.

Job description

For over 65 years, FCCI has been a place that puts people and relationships first. Here we work to build an environment where everyone is welcome and belongs. That feeling of belonging starts deep within each of us and is demonstrated through our actions as we focus on the journey we take together by being authentic and empathetic.

We are currently seeking an E&S Claim Adjuster to investigate and adjust assigned Excess and Surplus Lines claims that require expertise in areas such as coverage, analysis, jurisdictional and diversity issues, litigation management, and expense exposures.

What you will do:

  • Investigate assigned E&S lines claims, including initial investigation, coverage evaluation, settlement negotiation, and reserve setting within authority limits and company best practices.
  • Develop litigation/file disposition strategies and direct defense counsel on litigated files.
  • Provide comprehensive and timely reporting on claim status to claims management, policyholders, and independent agents.
  • Recognize exposures, apply reserving philosophy, and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Conduct field work such as meetings, inspections, damage assessments, and evidence documentation.
  • Attend mediations and manage claims effectively to closure, coordinating with independent adjusters and vendors.

Approximately 20% travel for mediations and trials may be required.

This role is hybrid at our Sarasota FL, office or one of our regional/field locations (Lawrenceville, GA; Lake Mary, FL; Carmel, IN; Richmond, VA and Richardson, TX) or can be remote within FCCI territory.

In exchange for your talents, FCCI offers competitive salaries and an excellent benefits package which includes:

  • Paid Family Leave
  • Competitive PTO & Holidays
  • Recognition & Bonus Programs
  • Medical, Vision, Dental & Life Insurance
  • Employee Referral Bonus
  • Paid Volunteer Time
  • 401(k) Match & Profit-Sharing
