Structural Designer / Drafter (Remote)
Remote | Direct-hire | $50,000-$70,000 | 100% Remote

Konik is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented mid-level Structural Designer/Drafter with Revit experience to join our client's engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a background in designing large industrial and commercial structures such as grain elevators, flour mills, water tanks, and commercial buildings. This position involves collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and other designers to develop high-quality structural designs and detailed drawings.

Structural Designer / Drafter Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop structural designs and detailed drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Create and modify construction documents, including structural layouts, sections, and details.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering sketches, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ensure design accuracy and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to address design challenges and incorporate changes.
  • Conduct field visits as needed to gather measurements, verify as-built conditions, and ensure design feasibility.
  • Maintain project files and manage drawing revisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Structural Designer / Drafter Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent certification in Drafting, Design, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in structural design and drafting, particularly for large industrial or commercial structures.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
  • Experience with structural steel, concrete, and industrial building components.
  • Strong understanding of construction detailing and building code requirements.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with engineers, project managers, and clients.
  • Experience working on projects involving grain elevators, flour mills, water tanks, or similar large structures.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis principles.
