The Senior Scientist - MSAT is responsible for acting as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries from Cytiva's biopharmaceutical customers. In this role, you will provide high-quality scientific support and guidance on the use of Cytiva filtration and separation technologies in customer processes.

This position reports to the Senior Manager - MSAT and is part of the MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) team working remotely to cover the eastern USA and Canada.

What you will do:

  • In coordination with commercial and technical colleagues, you will use your expertise and training to support customer success with Cytiva filtration products.
  • You will interact with customers to educate them on the use of Cytiva bioprocessing technologies.
  • You will perform and report on scientific application studies in customer processes from bench-scale to manufacturing-scale.
  • You will provide guidance on process optimization, troubleshooting and scale-up.
  • You will use your knowledge of customer needs to help guide Cytiva's new product development programs.

Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in a natural science or chemical engineering.
  • You have 4+ years' experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, ideally in PD (process development) or MSAT.
  • You have a practical aptitude for performing bench-scale scientific studies and are adept at writing technical reports.
  • You have demonstrable expertise in bioprocessing and GMP manufacturing.
  • You have experience delivering technical training and presenting scientific material in group settings.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • As you will support customers throughout the eastern USA and Canada, with travel away from home up to 60% of the time, you must live within a reasonable distance of a major airport. Proximity to the Cytiva facility in Marlborough, MA would be beneficial.
  • You must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • You must be able to lift, move or carry equipment up to 45lb. You must be able to put on and remove a cleanroom garment in a manner typically encountered in biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Filtration/separation technologies and single-use systems.
  • Customer-facing situations.
  • A master's degree in a relevant subject

The annual salary range for this role is $92,500 to $ 128,833. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
