Pathway to Healing Counseling is seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our outpatient practice in Rochester, New York. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. • Conduct comprehensive assessments to gauge the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients, employing standardized assessment tools and interviews.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans, identifying specific goals and strategies that resonate with their individual experiences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to address the unique challenges posed by mood disorders.
• Provide valuable education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment modalities, and effective self-care practices, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress, making data-informed adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimum care and effectiveness.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals within our organization to deliver integrated care, ensuring that treatment plans align with any pharmacological interventions.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in mental health research and treatment for mood disorders, incorporating new findings into practice to improve patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous records of client sessions and treatment plans in accordance with legal and ethical regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Participate in ongoing training and team meetings to share insights, discuss cases, and collaborate on effective treatment strategies.
• Advocate for clients within the community and healthcare settings, helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mood disorders and advocating for accessible mental health services.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals grappling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will engage with a diverse client base, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to meet the cultural and personal needs of each patient.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Proven expertise in implementing evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to facilitate productive collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish connections and rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Demonstrated success in delivering effective treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
• Experience in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with remote therapy tools and platforms is an asset.
