You will have access to a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) system to streamline documentation processes and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations including those of Medicaid and Medicare. Additionally, we provide a HIPAA-compliant platform for conducting telehealth sessions to maintain the confidentiality and safety of our clients.

• Engage and conduct thorough assessments of clients, establishing rapport and understanding their individual mental health needs.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions to address various issues including, but not limited to, trauma, anxiety, depression, and dual diagnosis.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with the goals of clients, focusing on building resilience and coping strategies.
• Utilize the electronic health record system to document counseling sessions, treatment progress, and client outcomes efficiently.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients, ensuring they feel heard, supported, and safe in their therapeutic journey.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care management and referrals when needed.
• Participate in ongoing training and supervision to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health care.
• Maintain flexible working hours, accommodating clients’ needs which may include evening and weekend availability.

The clients you will serve at Heritage Counseling Center span a diverse demographic, including individuals facing mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Working with a variety of age groups, from children to adults, you will be instrumental in helping patients achieve improved emotional wellbeing and resilience through tailored therapeutic interventions.

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required to ensure a strong foundation in mental health principles.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia is essential to practice independently.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating expertise and a commitment to client care.
• Must possess a reliable laptop or desktop with stable internet access, as well as a web camera to facilitate telehealth sessions effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently—self-discipline is crucial in the remote work environment.
• Successful completion of a background check is mandatory before employment commences.

• Experience using cloud-based EHR systems and telehealth platforms, which will enhance workflow efficiency and compliance.
• Experience providing therapy in a remote setting is a plus, as it requires comfort with technology and telehealth dynamics.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and current trends in mental health treatment is encouraged.
