We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our compassionate team at Rise and Recover Psychotherapy Center. This position operates in a fully remote capacity, allowing you to work comfortably while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our community health clinic thrives on collaboration and open communication, providing a space where professionals from various disciplines come together to deliver the best care possible. Your flexibility in scheduling will help meet the varied needs of our patients, as our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with potential adjustments as necessary.

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify the unique experiences and needs of each patient. This foundational work aims to develop tailored treatment plans that resonate with their backgrounds.
• Implement individualized, evidence-based therapeutic interventions that respond to the specific mental health concerns of patients, considering their cultural and personal contexts.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address a wide range of mental health issues, helping to foster resilience and emotional well-being.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for each patient.
• Provide crisis intervention support for patients experiencing mental health emergencies, utilizing effective techniques and strategies to stabilize and support individuals in distress.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and helpful community resources, empowering them to take part in their care journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring proper documentation of each therapy session.
• Participate in case conferences, cultural competency training, and team meetings to continually learn and collaborate with colleagues in best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in mental health therapy, ensuring the delivery of effective, culturally-informed services.

Our patient population consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. This role is pivotal in addressing their unique mental health challenges and fostering an environment of acceptance and understanding, where every client feels heard, seen, and valued.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Requires a current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment protocols, with an emphasis on cultural competence.
• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy that is inclusive and responsive to the varied needs of clients.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, maintaining calm and employing effective techniques under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications, streamlining documentation and communication processes.
• A commitment to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality and boundaries while working with clients.
• The ability to work effectively within a multicultural team, fostering a collaborative approach to patient care.

• Experience in providing therapy to marginalized populations and a demonstrated commitment to cultural humility.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic techniques to engage clients effectively in a virtual setting.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or advocacy programs aimed at enhancing mental health awareness and access.

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
