The role is fundamentally remote, designed for a climate-controlled office environment, allowing for a high degree of flexibility while engaging with colleagues and interdisciplinary teams. Daily activities will involve utilizing digital platforms for therapy sessions, ensuring secure and effective communication with clients, while adhering to patient confidentiality protocols.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate the mental health status of clients, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and other evidence-based instruments to inform individualized care plans.

• Continually monitor and assess each client’s progress, employing various therapeutic techniques and interventions designed to enhance their mental health and overall well-being.

• Prepare and maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and reports in a timely manner, leveraging current technology and adhering to regulatory guidelines and departmental policies.

• Collaborate with clients and their families to develop comprehensive treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and cultural contexts, while also outlining clear objectives and desired outcomes.

• Coordinate referrals, serving as a central link between clients and appropriate treatment providers, ensuring continuity of care and effective support.

• Engage in educational activities by mentoring students, interns, and new team members, fostering growth and understanding of best practices within clinical settings.

• Participate in peer-to-peer reviews and collaborate with your clinical supervisor on quality assurance measures such as clinical reviews and chart audits, thereby contributing to team development and service enhancement.

This role specifically focuses on clients affected by cancer diagnoses, encompassing a diverse patient demographic, including individuals at various stages of treatment and their families. The LCSW will address a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns arising from the diagnosis, treatment, and potential end-of-life issues. This targeted focus allows for specialized interventions that are deeply informed by the unique struggles faced by this population.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting that focuses on mental health, particularly with oncology patients or similar populations.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and modalities relevant to the social work field.

• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
