We are seeking an experienced Epicor System Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our Epicor ERP system (including Epicor Kinetic or earlier versions). In this critical role, you will serve as the primary technical expert for the ERP platform, ensuring high availability, data integrity, security, and alignment with business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, finance, operations, and IT to support system enhancements, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish ERP governance standards, including change control, naming conventions, and data consistency.
  • Manage user access, security roles, permissions, licensing, and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain Business Activity Queries (BAQs), Business Process Management (BPM) workflows, dashboards, customizations, and SSRS reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support ERP implementations, migrations, data conversions, and integrations with other business systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into functional/technical solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, backups, and disaster recovery processes to ensure stability and data integrity.
  • Create and maintain documentation, training materials, workflows, and best practices for end users and the IT team.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and guidance on Epicor functionality.
  • Stay current with Epicor updates, new features, and industry best practices.
  • Support and lead future ERP enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives to expand Epicor capabilities and improve cross-system connectivity

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in IT, ERP systems, or technical administration roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 5+ years of direct hands-on experience administering Epicor ERP (Epicor Kinetic experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong technical skills in:
  • SSRS reporting
  • Epicor tools (BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, Epicor Administration Console, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, inventory, MRP, and accounting processes.
  • Experience with system upgrades, on-premise or cloud (SaaS) deployments, and integrations (e.g., APIs, EDI, third-party systems).
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, security principles, and database management.

Preferred Skills
  • Epicor certifications or formal training.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) or hybrid environments.
  • Knowledge of additional tools like Power BI, REST APIs, or related ERP modules.
  • Experience with:
  1. SQL Server and advanced query writing
  2. C#, .NET, Visual Basic
  • Project management experience and the ability to lead small-to-medium ERP initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Personal Attributes
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service mindset.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

All Employees Shall
  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements

  • Attend scheduled EH&S training program
  • Actively support the organization's efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
  • Recommend improved EH&S practices

Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
