• Conduct evaluations of patients’ mental and emotional health, gathering comprehensive information to accurately diagnose conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, ensuring each plan meets their specific therapeutic needs.
• Facilitate therapy sessions to assist trauma patients in coping with their challenges, utilizing therapeutic techniques to promote emotional healing and resilience.
• Educate patients on effective stress and trauma management strategies, empowering them with tools to navigate their recovery.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and experiences.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare providers, social services, and community resources to coordinate holistic care for patients.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to ensure proficiency in the latest therapeutic practices and maintain your National Certified Counselor certification.

The counselor will primarily work with trauma injury patients, who face a wide range of mental health challenges stemming from physical and emotional injuries. This includes individuals coping with PTSD, chronic anxiety, and depression following traumatic events. By offering empathetic support and tailored interventions, the counselor will help these patients regain a sense of control and stability in their lives.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.
• A valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.
• Minimum of three years of experience working with trauma patients, demonstrating an understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to manage documentation and communication effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with team members.

• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Salesforce, is highly advantageous.
• Background in working within telehealth environments, demonstrating adaptability to remote patient care protocols.
