Our outpatient office serves as a hub for our counselors, where we conduct regular meetings to share insights and strategies crucial for our clients’ success. Although the primary work setting is remote, you will have the chance to engage with a multidisciplinary team, including case managers and psychiatrists, enhancing the overall care we provide.

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand each client’s unique needs, utilizing this analysis to develop tailored treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices.
• Provide therapy to individuals, groups, and families, employing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including case managers and psychiatrists, to ensure seamless, holistic care for clients facing complex mental health challenges.
• Utilize your crisis intervention skills to provide immediate support and guidance during acute situations, ensuring client safety and emotional support.
• Engage actively in community outreach efforts aimed at promoting mental health education and reducing stigma associated with mental health treatment.

Our therapy services cater to a diverse client population, encompassing individuals from varying ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a mental health therapist at My Light Counseling Center, you will have the opportunity to work with clients experiencing a wide array of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. • Possession of an active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctorate in fields such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and a commitment to working sensitively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, particularly in maintaining accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Experience in outpatient counseling settings, preferably in community mental health environments.
• Prior experience providing therapy to diverse populations, with a focus on underrepresented communities.
• A working knowledge of various therapy modalities and an openness to integrate new evidence-based practices into your work.
