Job description

Position Overview

Lightbox Counseling and Psychotherapy Association is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a fully remote setting. This full-time position offers the opportunity for you to provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families navigating a range of personal challenges. You will conduct therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a strong focus on their mental health and well-being.

About the Organization

Lightbox Counseling is committed to making mental health accessible to all, emphasizing a holistic approach in therapy. Our community health clinic serves a diverse clientele, including adults, teens, and families dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress management, and relationship difficulties. We pride ourselves on a culture that promotes flexibility and work-life balance, allowing our clinicians to thrive professionally and personally while providing exceptional care.

Work Environment

Our practice is a remote-first environment, meaning you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere within California. This virtual working model is designed to empower clinicians to manage their own schedules, reduce commute times, and eliminate administrative burdens, thereby allowing more time and energy to focus on client interactions and therapy outcomes. You will collaborate with a supportive remote clinical and administrative team dedicated to your success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions via secure video platforms, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Conduct initial intake assessments, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and monitor client progress through evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of all clinical encounters in our electronic health record (EHR) system, adhering to legal and ethical standards as established by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Engage in peer consultations and partake in optional virtual training sessions to enhance clinical skills and promote professional development.
  • Collaborate with external referral sources and coordinate care with other providers to ensure comprehensive support for clients as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base is diverse, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds, including marginalized communities such as LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC populations, as well as neurodiverse clients and young adults. You will work closely with clients experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health challenges and those in need of significant support during pivotal life transitions.

Qualifications
  • Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in California is required.
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is necessary for this position.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed clinician in a clinical setting is required, with at least one year of post-licensure experience.
  • Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and willingness to adapt to technology in providing virtual care.
  • A private, professional space compliant with HIPAA regulations for conducting virtual sessions.
  • Exceptional clinical writing and documentation abilities are essential.
  • Comfortable and confident in working independently while managing a caseload in a fully remote setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training in modalities such as EMDR, DBT, CBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, or somatic therapies.
  • Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly marginalized communities.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance options, retirement savings plans, flexible scheduling, and professional development opportunities. We provide both W-2 and 1099 options based on preferences, allowing for an adaptable working relationship.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Lightbox Counseling, we believe in the ongoing development of our clinicians. You will have access to regular training sessions and peer support meetings that encourage collaboration and skill enhancement. We promote an environment where leadership roles can be pursued, and opportunities emerge for expanding your professional network and therapeutic competencies.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Lightbox Counseling means becoming part of a progressive team that values diversity, inclusion, and the mental health of our community. We prioritize the well-being of our clinicians to ensure they can provide the best care possible. If you are looking for a role where you can make a significant impact while enjoying the flexibility of remote work, this is the opportunity for you.
