Job description

Salary: $60 - $65 per hour

Production Support (Remote)


Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Production Support Engineers to provide operational support for a critical enterprise application migrating from an on-premises environment to Microsoft Azure. This role will focus on maintaining system availability, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the stability and security of the application in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Azure operations, incident management, and cloud infrastructure support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day production support for applications running in Azure
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using Azure monitoring tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, outages, and performance issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
  • Support change and release management processes
  • Optimize performance and capacity planning for cloud-based systems
  • Maintain and support Azure infrastructure, networking, and security configurations


Required Qualifications

Core Azure Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Azure services:
    • Virtual Machines (VMs), App Services, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), Azure Functions, Storage, Networking
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools:
    • ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
  • Identity and access management:
  • Azure AD (Entra ID), RBAC, managed identities


Operations & Support

  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools:
    • Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
  • Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience performing root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and capacity management
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based change and release management


Networking

  • Understanding of:
    • VNets, subnets, and NSGs
    • Load balancers and Application Gateway
    • VPN / ExpressRoute fundamentals
    • DNS and traffic routing


Security & Compliance

  • Experience with:
    • Azure Security Center / Defender for Cloud
    • Key Vault and secrets management
    • Patch management and vulnerability remediation
