Great Lakes Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote team. This position is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home while engaging with clients through our telehealth platform. The estimated workload comprises 30 to 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options designed to accommodate your personal commitments.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans, ensuring they align with each client’s unique needs.
• Facilitate consultations to create pre-crisis and crisis intervention plans, behavioral guidelines, and medication treatment plans.
• Document all client interactions and clinical activities promptly and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools, collaborating with the clinical team to enhance the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
• Engage in the development and implementation of positive behavior support plans by working closely with interdisciplinary teams.
• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the quality of service delivery.
• Serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, including state agencies and community partners, ensuring strong communication and collaboration.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to promote program visibility and secure potential funding sources.
• Continuously pursue professional development opportunities, such as attending conferences and participating in statewide meetings relevant to your field.
• Embody and promote the agency's mission, values, and principles in all professional interactions.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Clinic Director to support organizational goals.

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients who may be coping with emotional challenges, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. You will provide individualized therapy to adults, adolescents, and families, supporting their journey toward improved mental health and independence. Our telehealth platform allows for accessibility and continuity of care, making it possible to reach those in need, regardless of their location.

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Possession of an independent LMHC license issued by the state board is essential.
• Strong skills in maintaining clinical records and preparing detailed reports.
• A proven ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing for effective expression of ideas and therapeutic concepts.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills grounded in professional knowledge and best practices.

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in telehealth settings, crisis intervention, substance use recovery, or behavioral health support will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and the use of digital tools for mental health service delivery is advantageous.
