This position is pivotal in offering therapeutic support to individuals and families, demonstrating our commitment to high-quality mental health care. As a licensed therapist, you will contribute to both patient outcomes and the overall mission of our organization.

About the Organization

Better Way Behavioral Health is a dedicated provider fostering an environment of empathy, inclusion, and collaboration. We understand that mental health is a crucial component of overall well-being. Our community health clinic serves diverse populations and aims to make mental health counseling accessible to all. Our mission is to empower individuals and families through expert therapeutic guidance and tailored mental health strategies.

Work Environment

This position is designed as a full-time remote opportunity, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while still contributing significantly to our team. You will engage in weekly virtual meetings with team members to discuss client statuses and care plans, ensuring cohesive and coordinated care. Being part of a remote team does not lessen your connection; rather, it enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive mental health services to those in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct personalized therapy sessions for a diverse clientele, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and health coaches, to develop and optimize individualized care plans.
  • Maintain precise and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with licensing requirements and organizational standards to ensure continuity of care.
  • Design and implement bespoke treatment strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based practices that promote therapeutic growth.
  • Engage with the local community by representing Better Way Behavioral Health at outreach events, workshops, and seminars, fostering relationships that enhance our community ties and attract new clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on helping a diverse range of clientsโ€”from children facing developmental challenges to adults navigating complex life transitions. You will have the opportunity to support clients from varied backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and understanding within your practice. Our commitment to community mental health means that you will often encounter individuals facing socio-economic hurdles, and your compassionate approach will directly impact their recovery and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Current and active licensure as either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • At least two years of relevant clinical experience in providing mental health services.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health settings, particularly with underrepresented populations.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance virtual therapy experiences and clinical documentation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in culturally competent counseling practices and trauma-informed care.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 90,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field. In addition to monetary compensation, our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance coverage to support your health and well-being.
  • Generous paid time off policy to ensure you have time to recharge and maintain work-life balance.
  • An employer-matched 401(k) plan to help you prepare for your future.
  • Supportive employee assistance programs and disability coverage, promoting your overall well-being.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Better Way Behavioral Health, we are committed to the professional development of our staff. You will receive ongoing training and mentorship, allowing you to enhance your skills and pursue specialized areas of interest within mental health counseling. Opportunities for advancement within the organization are available, offering pathways to leadership roles and advanced clinical practice.

Why Join Our Team
