Contract Attorney - Insurance Defense (Part-Time, 100% Remote)
*Active Oregon Bar License Required*
Position Overview
LHH has partnered with a well-established insurance defense law firm is seeking a Part-Time Contract Attorney to support multiple attorneys with growing caseloads. This role is ideal for an experienced litigation attorney looking for flexible, long-term remote work with consistent hours. The firm regularly works with contract attorneys and is open to temp-to-hire for candidates who are a strong fit and interested in full-time work.
The attorney will support three insurance defense attorneys and handle a mix of intake, file review, document review, discovery, and increasingly substantive work as familiarity with matters grows.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis
  • Perform intake and file review
  • Review and analyze documents
  • Assist with discovery, including responses and document production
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and related litigation documents
  • Communicate with internal team members, clients, and opposing counsel as needed
  • Manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines across multiple matters
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Active Oregon Bar license required
  • Insurance defense experience is a plus but not required
  • Civil litigation defense experience is acceptable; training will be provided
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage part-time workload independently in a remote environment
