Overview

The Director, Asset Management is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the asset management team, including oversight of account strategy, long-term customer obligations, asset performance, profitability, and execution across multiple customer sites. This role primarily serves as the reviewer, advisor, approver, and escalation leader for asset management plans, KPIs, capital planning, customer account performance, and complex operational issues.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of customer facilities, infrastructure, and physical assets to ensure alignment with contractual obligations, operational objectives, and business goals.
  • Provides strategic oversight of facility maintenance, repair, and capital improvement programs, ensuring investments support long-term asset performance, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
  • Reviews and analyzes facility and asset performance metrics, operating costs, maintenance expenditures, and financial results to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Leads annual planning activities related to facility operations, capital projects, resource allocation, and long-range asset management strategies across multiple customer sites.
  • Establishes governance, standards, and best practices for asset management, facility operations, maintenance planning, and performance reporting across the portfolio.
  • Serves as a senior advisor to Asset Managers and customers on complex operational issues, facility-related risks, capital investment priorities, and asset optimization initiatives.
  • Partners with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure facilities, infrastructure, and critical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews and approves asset management and facility operations strategies designed to improve profitability, increase asset reliability, extend asset life cycles, and enhance customer satisfaction.
QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Bachelor' Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Four years of directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • A minimum of seven years of related experience is required, including three years of leadership experience in asset management, facilities management, operations and maintenance (O&M), energy infrastructure, property operations, or a related operational environment.
  • Passionate about providing services and promoting safety on the job, and have the knowledge and ability to enforce safety policies within the department
  • Must have knowledge of facilities and asset management practices.
  • Ability to create additional opportunities for business growth through customer management.
  • Ability to manage profit and losses as well as reporting on quarterly and monthly projections.
  • Ability to create a reliable financial forecast.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
