THE WORK:
  • You'll conduct research and analysis to develop grant compliance review guidance, processes, procedures, templates, and risk-assessment methodologies.
  • You'll establish standardized formats and guidance for compliance reviews, working papers, and monitoring record retention.
  • You'll provide grant management and compliance ensuring strict adherence to OMB and program-specific regulations; may participate in audits and inspections to verify appropriate use of grant funds.
  • You'll oversee the timely processing of grant payment requests; monitor required reporting, and recommend grant closeout.
  • You'll provide guidance on grant compliance programs and operations; review internal controls for adequacy, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Accenture policies.
  • You'll identify and coordinate professional development training for grant staff and may conduct internal training.
  • You'll represent Accenture in meetings and working groups requiring financial review and compliance expertise.
  • You'll provide guidance on maintenance and retention of financial and compliance records in accordance with federal, state, and internal requirements.
  • You'll assist in planning, scheduling, distributing, and overseeing section workload; monitor productivity and quality control; support staff training and provide informal performance feedback.
  • You'll supervise others as assigned.
  • You'll perform other duties as assigned.
  • Remote: This role allows for remote work for the majority of your work hours.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, public administration, or business administration;
    or equivalent experience (30 semester hours = 1 year)
  • Three (3) to Five (5)+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, auditing, or grant administration
  • At least two (2) years must include auditing federal grant programs
  • FEMA grant program experience is required

  • Strong knowledge of grant management processes and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a consulting environment
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to motivate staff, communicate clearly, assess development needs, and coordinate training
  • Able to prioritize and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
  • Strong working knowledge of state and federal regulations, OMB guidance, and grant program compliance
