Job description

Mindgrub Technologies is an award-winning agency whose mission is to drive efficiency, growth, and ROI through AI and digital innovation. We leverage a deep understanding of technology and growth strategy to deliver multi-channel solutions for enterprise clients, with a focus on the energy and utilities sectors.
The Role
Mindgrub is seeking a Director of Staffing to lead and scale our new technology staffing and recruitment division. This is a player-coach role for a recruiting leader who can build process and infrastructure while staying hands-on with searches, client relationships, and candidate pipelines. You'll own the strategy, execution, and growth of our staffing division - turning it into a reliable, high-margin revenue line that complements Mindgrub's core digital agency work.
This role is ideal for someone who loves both recruiting and sales, has an entrepreneurial mindset, understands the mechanics of contingency search, and wants the autonomy to build a practice from the ground up within the support structure of an established organization.
What You'll Do
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting and account management for IT and software development staffing engagements, including contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire placements
  • Develop and execute go-to-market and business development strategy for the staffing division, including outreach, proposals, and client pitches
  • Build and manage a recruiting tech stack (ATS/CRM, sourcing tools, AI-assisted sourcing platforms) to drive efficiency and candidate quality
  • Establish repeatable sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill technical roles (engineering leadership, software development, ML/AI, data, infrastructure)
  • Cross collaborate with the digital products sales team to uncover new opportunities.
  • Negotiate fee structures, MSAs, and contract terms with new and existing clients
  • Track pipeline, revenue, and placement metrics, reporting performance to agency leadership
  • Run a full desk in the beginning stages of the new division
  • Hire, train, and manage additional recruiters as the division grows
  • Partner closely with Mindgrub's leadership and delivery teams to align staffing services with broader agency offerings and client needs
  • Represent Mindgrub's staffing brand at industry events, on LinkedIn, and in client-facing marketing materials
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in technical/IT staffing or recruiting, with a track record of building or significantly growing a staffing book of business
  • Deep familiarity with full-cycle recruiting for software development and engineering roles
  • Experience with modern sourcing and recruiting technology (ATS/CRM platforms, AI-assisted sourcing tools, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of contingency search fee structures and contract negotiation
  • Strong business development instincts - comfortable initiating and closing new client relationships
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple searches and client relationships simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the discipline to build scalable, repeatable processes
  • Bonus: experience launching a recruiting practice or division from scratch
Compensation
  • $100,000 - $115,000 USD plus uncapped Commission (up to 5% per eligible contract) for uncovering, initiating, and leading client recruitment opportunities
  • Base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, education, certifications, geographic location, and overall experience for the role
The Perks of Being a Full Time Mindgrubber
  • Work remotely or in the office - your choice!
  • Excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
  • Employer-paid Short-Term Disability (STD)
  • Paid Time Off available when you start
  • Free access to Premium Calm app subscription
  • Annual training budget dedicated to your professional development
  • A variety of fun Mindgrub hosted events and Committees to join (e.g. Adventure Club, Fun Committee, DEI Committee, Mindgrub Meet Ups, and more!)

Inclusivity without exception | At Mindgrub we value and encourage mutual respect and acceptance. We know we all have something to contribute. We work every day to ensure all are welcome, and that we treat all people with fairness and dignity.
No phone calls or recruiters, please.
