Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while situated within a community health clinic model. You'll collaborate with a variety of professionals, including psychiatrists and other mental health specialists, to provide integrated care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clientsโ€™ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring appropriate treatment pathways.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to guide client sessions.
  • Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, effective treatment options, and self-care strategies.
  • Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Engage in collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic treatment for clients.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and therapeutic approaches in mood disorders to continually enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in case consultations, professional development workshops, and team meetings to enhance personal and professional growth.
  • Advocate for clientsโ€™ mental health needs both within our organization and larger community to combat stigma and ensure access to care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our client demographic includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, including vulnerable populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role will directly influence their mental health recovery journeys, providing vital support in their healing process.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills that foster a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clientsโ€™ experiences and challenges.
  • Strong organizational abilities and time management skills to effectively oversee caseload and administrative responsibilities.
