Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms using standardized assessment tools.
• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their specific goals and preferences, integrating methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, offering practical guidance on coping strategies, treatment options, and self-care practices.
• Monitor client progress through regular follow-ups and adjust treatment plans based on feedback and therapeutic outcomes.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance your effectiveness as a clinician.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including those from underrepresented groups such as refugees, victims of domestic abuse, and the homeless population. Your role is essential in providing accessible mental health care and support, helping clients navigate their challenges and achieve stability and recovery.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit empathy and understanding, maintaining a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Preferred Experience

• A competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to USD 90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
