Job description

Pharmacist - Prescription Verification

At Neovance, we're transforming patient experience by driving better outcomes through compassion, innovation, and operational excellence. With more than 30 years of experience partnering with the biopharmaceutical industry, we deliver agile, technology-enabled patient access solutions that help people start and stay on therapy.

Our expertise spans HUB services, patient assistance programs, field reimbursement, nursing, and non-commercial pharmacy — each designed to remove barriers to care and ensure patients receive the therapies they need when they need them.

Guided by our values of Agility, Integrity, Tenacity, Unity, and Quality, we work as one Neovance team to optimize access, enhance adherence, and make a meaningful impact, one patient at a time.

Neovance is building a remote pharmacist network to support prescription verification volume in our non-commercial specialty pharmacy. This is flexible, hourly work with paid training where you select the shift blocks that fit your schedule.

This is a strong fit for licensed pharmacists who want to stay clinically active alongside another position, an academic program, or family commitments, and who are comfortable working independently in a remote digital environment.

You will perform prescription verification within our digital verification queues (DVQ):

  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and clinical safety
  • Complete verification activity within assigned queue blocks to support timely order processing
  • Apply federal, state, and client-specific pharmacy requirements to each verification
  • Report medication safety issues and errors through established reporting channels
  • Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA

Shift blocks: Work is offered in two-hour blocks. You select the blocks you want from those available.

Availability: Blocks are available across all seven days, including evenings and weekends. Broad availability increases the volume of work you can access.

Weekly commitment: We are looking for pharmacists who can consistently pick up a minimum of five hours per week.

Upper limit: Shift availability supports up to 28 hours per week.

Variable volume: Hours are not guaranteed and available blocks vary with prescription volume, though we anticipate steady demand in our verification queues.

Verification output is measured against a defined productivity standard. Those who do not meet the standard may have reduced access to available blocks.

This role uses your own equipment:

  • A personal computer capable of running our virtual desktop environment.
  • An external monitor is strongly recommended. The virtual desktop may be difficult to work in on a laptop screen alone.
  • Reliable high-speed internet.
  • A private work area sufficient to protect patient information.

Before beginning verification work, you will complete Neovance system and process training, currently scheduled as four consecutive Saturday sessions. Training time is paid at your hourly rate. Training must be completed in full before picking up shift blocks, so please confirm your availability for these dates when you apply.

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm); Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) preferred

Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in your state of residence and in any state from which you will perform work, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as volume requires

Two or more years of pharmacist experience in retail or specialty pharmacy

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote clinical workflow with minimal direct supervision

Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail

Working knowledge of FDA regulations, pharmacology, and pharmacy legal compliance

Clear written and verbal communication

This is an hourly, variable-hour role paid only for hours worked, including paid training time. The rate of pay is $60-65 per hour and is determined by experience, location, and internal equity. Because hours are variable and self-selected, this role does not include health, dental, or vision coverage, paid time off, or holiday pay.

Neovance conducts all official hiring and contracting processes exclusively through verified channels. We do not extend engagement terms or confirm selection decisions based solely on email communication. We encourage you to be vigilant against fraudulent messages — especially those offering unusually high pay, requesting personal information early in the process, or claiming to extend terms without an interview.
