Home and Community Mental Care, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team as we provide vital mental health services to children and families. This remote role provides you with flexibility while maintaining a structured workday that includes collaborative efforts with our outpatient clinic staff. You will work closely with the Child Family Treatment Team and other specialists to ensure integrated and effective service delivery. Our team-oriented approach values open communication and shared objectives to support each young client in overcoming behavioral challenges.

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing telehealth technologies to reach families in their homes.
• Implement therapeutic techniques to manage and reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, by teaching skills such as anger management, coping mechanisms, and social integration.
• Enhance decision-making abilities of both the child and caregiver to effectively navigate in-home behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.
• Manage documentation responsibilities, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Participate in regular team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations based on client progress and needs.

Our therapists work primarily with children aged 3 to 20 who present a variety of developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will engage with clients and their families, tailoring therapy to individual needs and strengths, thereby fostering resilience and coping skills that can lead to better long-term outcomes.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• An active, unrestricted LMFT license within the state of Tennessee.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with flexibility for weekends.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

• Prior experience providing positive behavior support strategies is highly desirable.
• Experience working with children diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with telehealth tools and practices to ensure effective virtual sessions.

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
