Purpose and Mission

Bekaert is hiring a Regional Sales Engineer (RSE) to help grow our Sustainable Construction business in the Midwest and Northeast US. This remote role, based in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, or Illinois, focuses on technical sales, specification development, and market expansion for construction and concrete. Reports to the Area Sales Manager, US North.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with design offices, specifiers, consultants, and technical stakeholders to promote fiber-reinforced concrete solutions.
  • Creating specifications for projects and building a robust project pipeline.
  • Encouraging greater awareness and adoption of Dramix steel fibers and Synmix macro synthetic fibers within technical specifications.
  • Providing support to sales teams on targeted projects related to industrial flooring, structural uses, and ready-mix concrete markets.
  • Conducting professional technical presentations for audiences ranging from small groups to large gatherings, both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Offering technical assistance regarding drawings, specifications, and structural details.
  • Tracking and reporting competitor activity, including new products and technological developments.
  • Working collaboratively within the company to aid product development, innovation projects, and solutions tailored to specific markets.

  • Capacity and commitment to travel up to 50% within the designated region
Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure highly preferred; EIT applicants actively pursuing PE certification also a plus
  • At least three years of experience in the construction industry, structural design, or relevant technical positions
  • Comprehensive understanding of ACI codes, industry standards, and industrial building methodologies
  • Capacity and commitment to travel up to 50% within the designated region
