Location: Richmond, VA
Job Type: Contract (Long-Term)
Work Schedule: Onsite (5 Days/Week)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Desktop Support Tech 2 to provide onsite desktop support for a long-term contract in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, experience supporting Windows environments, and excellent customer service abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows 11 (or higher) operating systems.
  • Support Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Perform laptop refreshes, hardware replacements, and software installations.
  • Utilize SCCM, SMS, Remote Desktop, Dameware, and other remote support tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Run reports, identify recurring technical issues, and recommend improvements.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while resolving end-user support requests.
  • Document support activities and maintain accurate service records.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of Desktop Support or IT Support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 11 or higher).
  • Experience with PC hardware, BIOS, drivers, peripherals, and networking.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM/SMS and remote support tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience gathering customer feedback and improving support processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Skills
