Facility: Remote

Schedule: Full-time | Rotating shifts between the hours of 8am - 6pm | Monday - Friday 

Salary: $18.31 - $24.77 per hour

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Secure Prior Authorizations & Coverage: Verify patient eligibility through online payer portals, evaluate medical necessity requirements, and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for provider-ordered procedures and services.

• Coordinate In-Network Referrals & Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments within required clinical timeframes while ensuring all referrals strictly align with payer matrices and preferred network guidelines.

• Navigate Managed Care & Payer Policies: Stay current on evolving insurance regulations, portal updates, and referral procedures to accurately assess financial responsibility and prevent coverage gaps.

• Advocate & Communicate Clear Coverage Details: Actively update patients, clinical providers, and insurance reps on authorization statuses, proactively resolving barriers to care or notifying parties if a service is denied.

• Maintain Accurate EMR Documentation: Log comprehensive, audit-ready details into the patient's electronic medical record (EMR), including authorization numbers, coverage limits, restrictions, and appointment notes.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years related experience required.

What additional requirements you'll need

• Insurance & Authorization Expertise with 2+ years of hands-on experience navigating medical insurance benefits, payer portals, prior authorizations, clinical documentation, and medical terminology.

• Critical Thinking & Autonomy skills including strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the proven ability to manage high-stress situations with minimal supervision.
