Overview

The Vice President of E- Commerce & Marketing is an executive leader responsible for shaping and executing CoralTree Hospitality's digital commerce strategy and global marketing, for the brand, and across its portfolio of independent lifestyle hotels, resorts, and residential properties. This role serves as the enterprise owner of brand stewardship, digital marketing, ecommerce performance, guest acquisition, and AI marketing technology, ensuring CoralTree's properties are competitively positioned, commercially optimized, and emotionally compelling across all digital and consumer touchpoints.

The VP of E-Commerce & Marketing will work with the VP of Marketing who leads centralized marketing disciplines to divide and conquer marketing home office initiatives and empower propertylevel teams, aligning revenue performance, and driving measurable growth in direct channel contribution via our websites, demand generation, and lifetime guest value.

Responsibilities

Lead CoralTree's Ecommerce and digital demand strategy, with accountability for:

  • Direct booking growth and channel mix optimization
  • Website performance, UX/UI, CRO, GEO, AI and SEO
  • Paid media (search, metasearch, social, display)
  • Email, CRM, and lifecycle marketing
  • Content, social media, and influencer strategies

First-Party Data Strategy

  • Develop and execute a first-party data strategy to reduce reliance on third-party cookies
  • Integrate customer data (behavior, transactions, engagement) into a centralized data platform
  • Leverage data to drive personalization, improve conversion, and target high-value audiences

Cookie & Consent Management

  • Implement and manage consent and cookie compliance frameworks (e.g., CMP tools)
  • Ensure transparent and compliant use of first-party cookies
  • Monitor and adapt to evolving browser and tracking changes

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and best practices
  • Maintain audit trails for consent and data usage
  • Support compliance for cross-border data handling requirements

Analytics & Attribution

  • Enhance marketing attribution using first-party data and server-side tracking
  • Integrate analytics with e-commerce platforms to measure performance accurately
  • Optimize campaign effectiveness without reliance on third-party tracking

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, product, and IT teams to embed data strategy into platforms and campaigns
  • Provide guidance and training on privacy-first data practices
  • Support adoption of data-driven decision-making across stakeholders

Drive enterprisewide guest acquisition and retention programs that increase conversion, loyalty, and lifetime value.

Establish bestinclass digital marketing frameworks that can be scaled across diverse asset types, markets, and maturity levels.

Marketing Technology & DataDriven Performance

  • Work with guest experience team on CoralTree's marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, CDP, marketing automation, analytics, attribution, and personalization platforms.
  • Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness, ROI, and contribution to topline revenue.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Strategy, Distribution, and Analytics teams to ensure alignment between pricing, channel strategy, and demand generation.

Portfolio & Property Support

  • Provide strategic marketing leadership and guidance to property marketing teams, GMs, and Commercial leaders.
  • Ensure properties receive the right level of home office expertise, tools, and resources based on asset maturity, market conditions, and performance needs.
  • Develop playbooks, standards, and activation frameworks that elevate performance while reducing complexity at the property level.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Lead and develop CoralTree's E-commerce marketing organization, including digital, brand, ecommerce, CRM, content, and performance marketing teams.
  • Build a highperformance, collaborative culture focused on accountability, creativity, and measurable outcomes.
  • Mentor senior marketing leaders and cultivate a strong internal pipeline of future talent.
  • Partner with People Services on talent strategy, succession planning, and capability development.
Qualifications
  • 15+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with significant depth in digital marketing, ecommerce, and brand strategy
  • Proven executivelevel experience in hospitality, lifestyle brands, travel, or consumerdriven industries
  • Demonstrated success driving direct revenue growth through digital channels
  • Strong understanding of distribution, revenue management, and demand economics
  • Experience leading enterprise marketing teams across multiproperty portfolios
  • Track record of building scalable marketing platforms while respecting local market nuance
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholdermanagement skills
