Job description

Segal McCambridge, a national trial firm recognized for its litigation excellence, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Construction Defect Practice Group in West Los Angeles. This is a hands-on role that offers meaningful responsibility on high-profile cases from day one.

As part of our collaborative and well-established team, you'll manage the full lifecycle of complex matters while receiving mentorship and professional development from partners with deep experience in construction defect and related litigation. The position offers a hybrid work model with flexibility to balance in-office collaboration and remote work.

What You'll Do

  • Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations/arbitrations, and trial preparation
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to develop case strategy and deliver outstanding results
  • Draft compelling legal documents and provide clear, strategic advice
  • Take ownership of case management while working within a supportive, team-oriented environment

What We're Looking For

  • Active license to practice law in California
  • At least 2 years of experience in construction defect defense litigation
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication abilities
  • A proactive, solutions-driven mindset and commitment to high-quality work
