Primary Responsibilities:

  • Development, implementation, and support contractual and/or performance guarantee reports
  • Develop both internal/external customer reports using SQL queries, Alteryx, and/or Tableau
  • Apply knowledge of operations and processes of internal business areas to reporting and data analytics projects
  • Data mining and analytics to identify service opportunities
  • Collaborate and communicate with customers to assess and interpret their data analytics/reporting needs and requirements, understand business issues and questions and appropriately frame them into analytical/reporting projects
  • Create and/or complete needed documentation to define project parameters and specifications, process flow and other business documentation including, but not limited to: business/functional/report/analytics requirements, workflows, job aids, and reference materials.
  • Identify appropriate data sources, report metrics, and tools for providing required information according to the customer's specifications
  • Define and/or ensure that report/analytics parameters that are established are consistent with data governance requirements (e.g., share minimally necessary data)
  • Create and support relevant databases (tables/fields/libraries) needed to source appropriate data
  • Develop tests and/or validation queries needed to assess the accuracy of data and/or coding used for report generation. Conduct testing to verify the accuracy of incoming or received data and/or coding prior to generating automated reports
  • Demonstrate knowledge of operations, goals, and policies and procedures of internal business partners (e.g., information contacts)
  • Apply analytical, mathematical and statistical techniques to investigating and interpreting data results
  • Positions in this function are responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and recognizing trends, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality
  • Depending on the specific role and business line, for example responsibilities in this function could include creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, creating product specifications and models, developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights and presenting recommendations for use across the company
  • Roles in this function could partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization
  • Other roles involved could include producing and managing the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients
  • Team members will typically use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data
  • Positions in this function work on predominately descriptive and regression-based analytics and tend to leverage subject matter expert views in the design of their analytics and algorithms

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science
  • 2 years of experience performing complex data analysis, report development, querying high volume data, and interpreting results
  • 2 years of experience in creating relevant databases (tables/fields/libraries) needed to source appropriate data
  • 2 years of experience communicating with clients to understand client needs and define report/analytics deliverables
  • 2 years of experience building and executing data pulls using SQL and / or other BI reporting tools
  • 1 years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience manipulating / combining data from multiple sources to provide actionable information
  • Experience prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of proficiency gained through work-related experience with automated database management systems and reporting tools such as: SQL, SSIS, SSRS, RStudio, Hyperion, Tableau
  • Advanced level of proficiency with PC based applications (Sharepoint, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) to include VBA and/or JavaScript
  • 3 years of work-related experience creating reports that include complex joins
  • 2 years of work-related experience building back-end data sources, extracts, and advanced data structures
  • 1 years of work-related experience in Tableau or other visualization tool

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
