Overview
This client-facing, strategic role is responsible for analyzing large and complex data, developing and implementing insights that address cost efficiency, advanced AI, and predictive analytics, in addition to improvement recommendations for both clients and internal business partners. This role leads and manages analytics projects to develop solutions through understanding client strategies and providing analytical recommendations to enable clients (and the Steritech business) to achieve business goals. To accomplish this, the person in this role must excel at conducting research, collaborating with other analytical and non-analytical professionals, translating technical and analytical information into actionable insights for stakeholders, and mentoring and coaching junior Business Intelligence colleagues. The job requires strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills, as well as technical expertise in programming languages, analytical tools, and systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s), both internally and for clients, to recommend data-driven solutions that address cost, efficiency, and quality improvements.
  • Create and statistically analyze complex data (both internal and external) and identify patterns and trends to provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Leading and managing analytics project requirements and goals from start to finish, ensuring that they are delivered on time, contain accurate and meaningful insights and to the required quality standards.
  • Design & develop innovative business solutions (analytical models, data structures) that meet business needs and requirements and delivery to client or business leadership.
  • Engages with stakeholders to establish measurable business metrics and analytical frameworks that evaluate the health of our products, our customer experience, and client performance. Primary stakeholder relationships are Client leadership (CEO, COO, Director, Program managers), internal business leadership (BSB VP and Directors), and functional leads.
  • Responsible for leading prototyping new analysis and reports for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations and information process flow.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in the analytics industry, including new technologies, tools, and best practices, and champion their adoption where beneficial.
  • Conducts research and analysis into the nature, effect, and results of process problems including root cause analysis through strategic client discussion.
  • Identifies opportunity trends and recommends solutions through design and preparation of clear reports, charts, and graphs to depict trends.
  • Coordinates and presents concise summaries and briefings to senior management and client leadership that highlight key insights and recommended actions.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing data infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Create continuous improvement in the Data Analytics function through process improvement and application of industry innovation.
  • Leads the research and development of data models to produce insights around complex and impactful problems for both internal business challenges and client initiatives.
  • Analyze data to find concrete insights and deliver solutions to key business challenges using machine learning, text-mining/NLP from structured and unstructured data to assist in new product development, improving the quality of the products, and improving customer service experience.
  • Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions.
  • Regularly review and update our existing data, models and algorithms to ensure that they remain relevant for client usage.
  • Establish productive, professional and consultative relationships with key personnel throughout assigned client organizations (at both the franchise and corporate level) to understand their strategic business models to enable high quality insights.
  • Mentor junior members of the team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics or Engineering plus at least 5 years of relevant experience (e.g. data science, analytics, or related technical role)
  • Optional Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, MIS or Business Analytics

Experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in the business intelligence and technical space, managing projects, making insightful recommendations or any equivalent of experience, education and/or training
  • Experience in acquiring, cleaning, and analyzing large data sets
  • Experience with analytical visualization software such as SAS, R. Matlab, Python (Pandas/Scipy), Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, etc

  • Advanced SQL knowledge and programming skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations and policies of a new business area.

Base Pay Range - $85,600 - $111,200 / year
