Shift Perspective Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing exceptional mental health services. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments to accurately identify the mental health needs and challenges faced by clients.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual client goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Provide consistent psychotherapy and behavioral therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients to express their thoughts and feelings.
- Consistently maintain accurate and timely documentation, including clinical notes and progress updates, in compliance with department policies and electronic medical records systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to formulate comprehensive treatment plans, including discharge plans that integrate psychosocial assessments and professional interventions.
- Assist clients in discharge planning and care coordination, ensuring they have access to the full spectrum of services available in our healthcare system and community.
In this role, you will primarily work with individuals and families experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. These may include anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and trauma, among others. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their mental health journey through empathetic engagement and effective treatment strategies. Our organization focuses on serving diverse populations, adapting methods to meet the specific needs of each client and their loved ones.
Qualifications- An active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in an outpatient clinical setting, demonstrating competence in therapy and assessment.
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with word processing, email systems, data entry, spreadsheets, and electronic medical records.
- An ability to work independently, exhibiting strong organizational skills and self-direction.
While we require at least three years of relevant clinical experience, applicants with specialized training in areas such as trauma-informed care, couples therapy, or family dynamics will be viewed favorably. Experience working with diverse and underserved populations is also highly valued.
