About this roleResponsible for processing student admissions and registration documents in the Student Services department. Performs data entry of admissions in a timely manner, completes and processes application forms, and provides other clerical support functions for the department. The position requires the ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including nights and weekends.

What a day of an Admissions Processing Representative looks like:

  • Reviews and revises reports and documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Enters new students into the appropriate admissions or enrollment records. Includes administering and interpreting policies regarding student admission, re-admission, and late registration.

  • Processes residency documentation and enters transcripts into admissions records.

  • Types and edits forms, reports, memos, and correspondences. Uses word processing programs.

  • Sets up and organizes files and manuals; counts and alphabetizes records; keeps files up to date.

  • Identifies tracking documents and reviews for completeness.

  • Logs documents received and completed.

  • Acquires knowledge of other staff duties and serves as a backup, as necessary.

  • Enters or edits data to existing database files.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
