To thrive as a Remote Data Capture Specialist, you need strong attention to detail, data entry proficiency, and a solid understanding of data management processes, often backed by a high school diploma or relevant experience. Familiarity with data capture software, spreadsheets (like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets), and database management systems is typically required. Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills help you efficiently handle large volumes of data and collaborate remotely. These skills ensure accurate, timely data collection and integrity, which are critical for business operations and informed decision-making.

What are some common challenges faced in a Remote Data Capture role, and how can they be managed effectively?

One of the main challenges in a Remote Data Capture role is maintaining accuracy and consistency when entering or verifying large volumes of data, especially when working independently. Distractions at home and varying digital tools can also impact productivity. To manage these challenges, it's important to establish a dedicated workspace, use reliable internet connections, and adhere to standardized procedures or checklists. Regular communication with team members and supervisors helps address data discrepancies quickly and ensures alignment with project goals.

What is remote data capture?

Remote data capture refers to the process of collecting, recording, and transmitting data from various sources outside of a central location, typically using digital devices or software. This method allows organizations to gather accurate information from remote sites, field locations, or participants without requiring them to be physically present. Common applications include healthcare, research, logistics, and field service operations. The data is often transmitted electronically for real-time analysis and decision-making, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.

Position Title: MBSE Systems Integrator

Location: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

Clearance Type: DoD Secret

Shift: Day shift

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

We are seeking an MBSE Systems Integrator to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) at Redstone Arsenal. This position is unique: it prioritizes requirements integration, stakeholder communication, and process alignment over deep-tool SME (Subject Matter Expert) status.

While you will be responsible for overseeing the MBSE Suite (including IBM ELM and Cameo), your primary value lies in your ability to sit with leadership, gather complex mission requirements, and effectively disseminate those requirements to our technical teams. We are looking for a professional who understands the "big picture" of digital engineering and can ensure our tools, processes, and engineering teams are synchronized

Description of Duties:

The MBSE Systems Integrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

Mission Integration (Requirements Gathering):

  • Participate in high-level leadership and stakeholder meetings to identify, capture, and document complex mission needs.

Technical Translation (Requirements Dissemination):

  • Translate leadership vision into actionable technical requirements (utilizing tools like Jira/Confluence) and ensure the engineering team is aligned for successful delivery.

System Oversight (Environment Alignment):

  • Provide strategic oversight of the MBSE tool suite to ensure compliance and support for MDA's digital engineering standards. (Note: This is process/systems integration, not software API coding).

Process Coordination (Bridging the Gap):

  • Collaborate with project teams to understand current data model structures and coordinate the integration of those models into reusable, standardized frameworks.

Community Engagement (User Adoption):

  • Coordinate user engagement and training efforts to ensure the MBSE community is empowered and utilizing the suite effectively.

Analysis & Reporting (Strategic Reporting):

  • Design and deliver data-driven metrics to leadership regarding process efficiency, tool adoption, and compliance efforts.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to quickly adapt to new situations and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
  • Have a willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving system requirements.
  • Be able to de-conflict competing requests and requirements effectively.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be able to provide visible and active leadership in delivering excellent Quality, Operational and Reliability results

Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
    • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must have 5, or more, years of directly related experience in Systems Engineering, Requirements Integration, Technical Project Management, or Technical Liaison roles.
  • Must have 6, or more, months of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must have 6, or more, months of experience working in a role requiring significant stakeholder coordination or project synchronization
  • Must possess a functional understanding of MBSE tool suites (IBM ELM, Cameo/Dassault, Sodius, or Atlassian)
  • Must have experience in coordinating with and managing external vendors related to the MBSE Suite to ELM IBM, Dassault, Sodius and Attlassian.
  • Must possess expert-level communication skills, with a proven ability to bridge the gap between executive leadership and technical engineers
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

  • Be familiar with Agile methodologies, Requirements Traceability, and Atlassian suites (Jira/Confluence).
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security+)
  • Have Top Secret Clearance
