RSAC is seeking a highly analytical, business-minded Senior Data Analyst, Marketing Analytics to serve as the dedicated analytics partner supporting both Conference and Membership Marketing initiatives. 

This role will be responsible for transforming marketing data into actionable insights that drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional business acumen and stakeholder management skills. They are comfortable moving between strategic discussions with marketing leadership and hands-on analytical execution. 

The Senior Data Analyst will partner closely with Marketing, Conference, Membership, and Data & Analytics teams to build reporting frameworks, measure campaign effectiveness, develop attribution models, identify growth opportunities, and provide executive-level insights that influence business decisions. 

This role reports into the Data & Analytics organization while serving as the primary analytical partner to Marketing. 

What You’ll Do 

Marketing Performance & Campaign Analytics 

  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for Marketing, supporting both Conference and Membership business lines. 

  • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks for marketing campaign performance across channels. 

  • Analyze marketing effectiveness and provide actionable recommendations to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention outcomes. 

  • Measure campaign ROI and support data-driven budget allocation decisions. 

  • Establish standardized marketing KPI definitions and reporting methodologies. 

Attribution & Funnel Analytics 

  • Develop and maintain marketing attribution frameworks across Conference and Membership initiatives. 

  • Analyze acquisition channels, conversion funnels, and customer journeys to identify opportunities for optimization. 

  • Partner with Marketing stakeholders to improve lead generation, conversion, and audience growth strategies. 

  • Evaluate performance across paid, owned, and earned marketing channels. 

Conference Marketing Analytics 

  • Support conference registration reporting and performance measurement. 

  • Analyze registration funnel performance and identify conversion opportunities. 

  • Measure effectiveness of conference marketing campaigns and promotional activities. 

  • Support sponsorship analytics and attendee engagement reporting. 

  • Provide insights that help drive conference growth and improve attendee experience. 

Membership Marketing Analytics 

  • Analyze subscriber acquisition, activation, retention, and lifetime value metrics. 

  • Measure performance of email campaigns, content marketing initiatives, and member engagement efforts. 

  • Identify audience behaviors, engagement patterns, and opportunities to improve member retention and growth. 

  • Partner with Marketing to develop actionable audience segmentation strategies. 

Executive Reporting & Insights 

  • Design and maintain executive dashboards that provide visibility into marketing performance and business outcomes. 

  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership. 

  • Deliver recurring performance reviews and strategic insights to Marketing leadership and executive stakeholders. 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to Marketing leadership. 

Data Analysis & Visualization 

  • Write complex SQL queries to analyze large datasets and answer business questions. 

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and self-service reporting solutions using Tableau. 

  • Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting capabilities. 

  • Support development of scalable reporting and measurement frameworks. 

Experimentation & Strategic Analytics 

  • Support marketing testing and experimentation initiatives through measurement design and analysis. 

  • Develop audience segmentation methodologies to improve targeting and personalization. 

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support strategic business decisions. 

  • Identify trends, opportunities, and risks through proactive analysis and stakeholder engagement. 

Application Requirements 

Core Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field. 

  • 5–7 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics, or related analytical roles. 

  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to independently analyze large and complex datasets. 

  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools. 

  • Experience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake. 

  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, campaign measurement, attribution, and performance reporting. 

  • Experience with audience segmentation, customer lifecycle analytics, retention analysis, cohort analysis and lifetime value modeling. 

  • Experience communicating analytical findings to business stakeholders and senior leaders. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. 

Bonus Points  

  • Experience supporting marketing, growth, membership, subscription, media, SaaS, or event-based businesses. 

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) and digital marketing measurement concepts. 

  • Familiarity with dbt and modern data stack technologies. 

  • Exposure to Python or other analytical programming languages. 

  • Experience supporting conference, event, or membership-based organizations. 

  • Experience designing and measuring A/B tests and marketing experiments.

Within the first year, a successful candidate will:
