How you will impact the organization...

We are looking for a data-driven Senior Data Analyst to join our finance team. You will support and advocate for the finance teams data needs throughout the organization. You will collaborate with Data Engineering on data pipelines, identifying and solving complex data issues, contributing to the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data.

  • Maintain Data Sets: Design, build, and maintain scalable data models from our data lake that power financial forecasting, budgeting, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • SQL Queries: Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis.
  • Dashboarding & BI: Develop, launch, and maintain automated, executive-ready BI dashboards (Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales Operations, Data Engineering, and Product teams to align disparate data sources (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe, Oracle) into a single source of truth for Finance.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the absolute integrity and accuracy of financial data used for board meetings, investor relations, and regulatory reporting.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

What you will bring to the table...

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial analytics, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • SQL Mastery: Advanced SQL skills are non-negotiable. You can write complex, optimized queries, handle window functions, and manage large-scale data manipulation with ease.
  • Automation: Support automation and process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and self-service analytics within the organization.
  • Work Independently: Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently investigate issues and deliver insights.
  • Analytics Engineering & BI: Experience with modern data stacks including cloud-based databases. Hands on experience with data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). Experience with data visualization and BI tools for creating intuitive dashboards (Tableau strongly preferred). Proven ability to build and manage data pipelines independently, from ingestion to reporting.
  • Communication: Proven excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional details... 

  • Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S. 
  • Open to US-based remote candidates, with a preference for PST/MST/CST time zones. EST candidates will be considered if open to working PST hours.
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time.

  • This position is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a more extensive background check through the Federal Government as a Public Trust Position. Salaried Roles
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$130,000 annually.  The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits. This job doesn't have an expiration date and will remain open until a qualified candidate is hired.
