Job description

VG Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced and results-driven Program Manager to support a proposed effort with the USDA Forest Service. This full-time remote position will play a critical role in leading and managing correspondence operations, project planning, compliance initiatives, and strategic program activities supporting Federal agency objectives. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience supporting Federal organizations, strong project management expertise, and the ability to lead complex initiatives while ensuring compliance with Federal regulations and operational requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award and will require travel to agency headquarters approximately 4-6 times per year.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years providing business services to Federal organizations
  • Expertise in Federal Records Management, FOIA, FACA, and Section 508 regulations (experience in a natural resource agency preferred)
  • Experience in leading correspondence operations across Federal tracking systems
  • PMP certification preferred, Lean Six Sigma a plus


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Project Management Plan (PMP) with detailed processes and schedules
  • Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports and Annual Summary Reports
  • Oversee daily correspondence intake, tracking, and closure
  • Ensure compliance with technical project management for correspondence systems
  • Identify and manage critical project milestones and dependencies
  • Support strategic initiatives with analytical and documentation efforts
  • Draft and present executive briefing materials and facilitate key meetings
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for correspondence processes
