We’re reshaping healthcare payment through seamless intelligence.    Location: This role is fully remote.   About the opportunity  The Subrogation Learning Manager leads the Learning Support function within the Performance and Learning Support department, driving onboarding quality, training effectiveness, and analyst capability across the Subrogation Division. This role moves beyond traditional training delivery toward performance enablement—designing and executing learning experiences that build judgment, reduce time to proficiency, and directly support business outcomes.   Reporting to the Director of Performance and Learning Support, the Learning Manager owns the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of new hire onboarding and ongoing learning programs. This role manages the Learning Support team, partners closely with Performance Support and Operations leadership, and serves as the primary driver of best-in-class learning delivery across the division. This is a player-coach role that combines strategic instructional oversight with hands-on facilitation, coaching, and curriculum development.   What you’ll do  Learning Strategy and Program Oversight \tDesign and continuously improve a learning framework that shifts from activity-based training to outcome-based performance enablement. \tOwn new hire onboarding and ongoing training programs, ensuring alignment to The Rawlings Way, state and federal statutes, and company policy. \tDefine capability-based proficiency milestones and use learning data to drive decisions on what gets taught or redesigned. \tAlign learning priorities with operational goals, recovery targets, and inventory capacity in partnership with the Director.   Training Observation and Quality Assurance \tObserve live and recorded training sessions regularly; document findings and provide timely, actionable feedback to trainers. \tMonitor classes to ensure quality and consistency standards are met regardless of instructor. \tIdentify trends across classes and facilitators; adjust curriculum or delivery methods accordingly.   Team Leadership and Development \tLead, supervise, and develop the Learning Support team, including Learning Specialists. \tCoach Learning Specialists to strengthen facilitation skills and delivery consistency. \tManage team scheduling and coordinate all training activity across the division. \tConduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to direct reports.   Curriculum Design and Content Development \tConsult on curriculum design.   Cross-Functional Partnership \tPartner with Performance Support to ensure quality trends, Help Desk insights, and wiki updates inform curriculum. \tCollaborate with Operations to align readiness criteria and onboarding timelines. \tSupport analyst coaching and mentoring through the Learning Specialist team to reinforce quality file handling and recovery results. \tAssist subrogation management with continuing education and compliance training.   Outcome-Driven Measurement \tMeasure training effectiveness by performance lift—not attendance, completions, or session counts. \tTrack quality consistency, escalation accuracy, independent decision-making, and first-pass accuracy as core success indicators. \tStandardize readiness through staged milestones: supervised work → partial autonomy → full analyst responsibility. \tReport on learning outcomes and analyst progression to the Director and key stakeholders.   What experience you bring (Role Requirements)   \tBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in health insurance, legal, property casualty, or a related field. \tMinimum of two years of subrogation file handling experience required; leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. \tDemonstrated experience in educating and training adults, including curriculum design and facilitation. \tExcellent knowledge of the subrogation process, including file identification, file set-up, file management, and recovery activities. \tDemonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training programs and evaluate their impact on performance. \tExperience in instructional design, adult learning principles, or performance consulting is a plus. \tExcellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership and diverse audiences. \tProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. \tExcellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills. \tDemonstrates integrity, honesty, and a professional demeanor in all aspects of job performance. \tMust maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.     What Success Looks Like…    After 3 months   \tYou will have a strong understanding of the role.  \tYou begin building relationships and collaborating with peers.  \tYou develop effective time and priorities management.  \tYou receive initial feedback about your performance and are using it to improve.  \tYou’ve gained confidence in your abilities and are starting to feel more comfortable in your role.    After 1 year  \tYou have mastered the tasks and responsibilities of the position, executing them with confidence and efficiency.  \tYou have established a strong network of internal relationships and are recognized as a key collaborator.  \tYou’ve been entrusted with greater responsibility indicating the company’s confidence in your abilities.  \tYou see opportunities for career progression and personal development.      Pay range: $85,000 (base) USD.
