Independence Therapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. We specialize in treating various trauma-related conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, using evidence-based practices and patient-centered care approaches.

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your working environment while providing vital mental health support to patients. • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique trauma history and treatment needs.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support patients through their healing journeys.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and care coordinators, to ensure a seamless integration of care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s mental health.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and available support resources, reinforcing their understanding and control over their healing process.
• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in line with legal requirements and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout therapeutic processes.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance collaborative care practices while partaking in professional development to stay current with trauma therapy advancements.

Our primary focus is on individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. As a therapist at Independence Therapy Center, you will work closely with a diverse client population, including adults and adolescents from various backgrounds, each facing their unique challenges on the road to recovery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical for establishing trust and rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms will enhance your ability to deliver effective care.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling with a focus on trauma-informed care is strongly preferred.
• Experience with trauma-focused therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT will be beneficial.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

The position offers a competitive salary in the range of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to monetary compensation, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
