Overview
The Industrial Engineer supports manufacturing and distribution projects from concept through production by applying data-driven analysis and a strong understanding of manufacturing operations. This role works closely with production teams to improve layouts, processes, and workflows that directly impact safety, quality, and throughput. Engineers in this role see their work move quickly from idea to implementation in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support facility, department, and production line layouts to improve material flow, safety, and efficiency

  • Maintain CAD layouts and floor plans in support of manufacturing and warehouse operations

  • Conduct time and motion studies, identify and reduce waste, line balance, and implement

  • Partner with production teams to identify issues and implement practical process improvements

  • Analyze operational data to support decisions related to capacity, throughput, and workflow

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and distribution

  • Assist with capital equipment evaluations and production start-ups


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering

  • Experience in a manufacturing, operations, or industrial engineering environment preferred

  • Familiarity with CAD tools for layouts and floor plans

  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles

  • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into practical solutions

  • Hands-on mindset and ability to work effectively with production team members
