To thrive as a Remote Credit Risk Analyst, you need strong analytical abilities, knowledge of financial principles, and typically a degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Familiarity with risk assessment software, statistical tools like SAS or R, and credit reporting systems is essential. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills help you interpret data and collaborate effectively from a distance. These skills and qualifications are crucial to accurately assess creditworthiness, minimize risk, and support sound financial decisions in a remote environment.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote credit risk roles, and how can they be addressed?

Remote credit risk professionals often face challenges such as limited direct access to clients and colleagues, which can make it harder to gather nuanced information and collaborate efficiently. To address these, it's important to leverage digital communication tools and maintain proactive communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Building strong documentation and adopting clear workflows also help ensure consistency in risk evaluation while working remotely. Regular virtual meetings and continuous professional development can further support success and connection in a remote setting.

This role partners closely with Commercial Relationship Managers (RMs) and Treasury Management Advisors (TMAs) to embed AR automation into broader treasury, payments, liquidity, and credit relationships, positioning the bank as a strategic advisor in working capital optimization and financial process modernization.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management & Treasury Integration

  • Partner with Commercial RMs and TMAs to identify AR automation opportunities within existing credit, treasury, and payments relationships.

  • Support relationship teams by integrating receivables automation solutions into holistic client strategies, strengthening primary bank positioning.

  • Participate in joint client calls, portfolio reviews, and relationship planning sessions to deepen wallet share and client retention.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to finance, treasury, and AR leadership on receivables strategy, controls, and operational efficiency.

AR Automation Solution Consulting

  • Act as the bank’s subject matter expert for Accounts Receivable Automation and Order-to-Cash transformation.

  • Lead consultative discovery sessions to assess client receivables processes, ERP environments, payment mix, and automation maturity.

  • Design and position AR automation solutions leveraging bank-partner AR platforms and comparable bank-supported technologies.

  • Align solution design with bank risk, compliance, data security, and operational requirements.

  • Partner with product, implementation, and operations teams to ensure successful onboarding and ongoing client satisfaction.

Business Development & Opportunity Origination

  • Proactively originate new AR automation opportunities within assigned portfolios and targeted prospect lists.

  • Support new-to-bank acquisition efforts by differentiating the bank through advanced receivables and working capital solutions.

  • Collaborate with TMAs on pipeline development, opportunity qualification, pricing strategy, and proposal development.

  • Utilize data, portfolio analytics, and industry insights to prioritize high-impact opportunities.

Centers of Influence & Market Presence

  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners including accounting firms, advisory consultants, ERP integrators, and industry groups.

  • Represent the bank at industry events, client forums, and educational sessions focused on treasury, finance transformation, and working capital.

  • Enhance the bank’s reputation as a leader in receivables automation and digital treasury solutions.

Sales Execution & Performance Management

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process in coordination with relationship teams, from opportunity identification through solution delivery.

  • Achieve or exceed assigned revenue, pipeline, and solution adoption goals.

  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation and comply with all internal sales governance, risk, and reporting requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in commercial banking, treasury management, or financial technology sales, with a focus on Accounts Receivable Automation or Order-to-Cash solutions.

  • 5+ Years Hands-on experience with AR automation platforms such as HighRadius, Billtrust, Versapay, Alacriti, or similar technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  •  Strong understanding of commercial banking products, treasury services, and the integration of receivables into broader cash management strategies.
  • Ability to sell complex, consultative solutions to middle market and enterprise clients in a relationship-oriented banking environment and/or via direct prospecting efforts.
  • Demonstrated success meeting revenue and growth targets while supporting long-term client relationships.
  • Experience working alongside Commercial RMs and Treasury Management teams.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday) and bank-hosted receivables platforms.
  • Expert understanding of working capital metrics such as DSO, cash forecasting, and liquidity optimization.
